Dell Inc. is one of largest technology corporations in the world. Michael Dell started the company in 1984, and it sold computers built from stock components. Previously named PCs Limited, the company created the “Turbo PC,” the company’s first computer. In 1988, the company changed its name to Dell Computer Corporation. Dell sells personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, and computer peripherals. Dell acquired computer hardware company Alienware in 2006, and Perot Systems, an information technology services provider, in 2009.
