Whereable.ai (CEO Doosan Baek) announced its participation in “COMEUP Stars 2024.”

COMEUP Stars 2024, the flagship competition of the global startup festival COMEUP 2024, will feature competitive IR pitching sessions in “Startup Valley.” A total of 50 teams, including 30 Rookie League companies, 10 Runners League companies, and 10 selected from the Rocket League through recommendations by the advisory committee, will compete. Finalists from 13 countries, including South Korea, the U.S., the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, India, and Türkiye, highlight the event’s global scope.

Founded in January 2024, Whereable.ai specializes in AI-driven autonomous driving technologies. It offers a full-stack solution that supports “Plug-and-Play” functionality. The technology is designed for seamless operation in various environments, making it scalable and suitable for commercial deployment.

At COMEUP Stars 2024, Whereable.ai plans to showcase its next-generation indoor autonomous driving system, “Quadie.” Designed for large indoor spaces, Quadie efficiently transports passengers to destinations such as convenience stores, restaurants, shops, and exits. The system aims to improve mobility, including the elderly, pregnant women, and young children.

Equipped with an intuitive interface, Quadie allows passengers to easily search for destinations on an internal display and navigate autonomously, safely, and precisely. The system can also provide real-time flight information and display relevant videos in airport settings.

Quadie is engineered with advanced diagnostics to detect faults and respond to emergencies by safely halting operations. It also features an administrator connection function for real-time communication and procedural guidance. Future enhancements will include integrated advertising displays for promotional purposes and quick destination selection.

A company representative explained that despite the growing number of large indoor facilities such as airports, exhibition centers, resorts, malls, and museums, visitor mobility solutions still need to be improved. Whereable.ai developed Quadie to address this gap by offering a safe, space-efficient system that optimizes visitor movement without disrupting foot traffic.

Since its establishment, the company secured a contract to supply ten autonomous transport vehicles to Incheon International Airport Terminal 2’s departure hall within four months. Scheduled for full operational deployment in March 2025, these vehicles will serve travelers throughout the terminal.

Through its participation in COMEUP Stars 2024, Whereable.ai hopes to introduce its technology to a global audience and explore expansion opportunities in regions with high market potential, including the U.S. and the Middle East.

COMEUP 2024 will occur on December 11–12 at Coex in Seoul, featuring innovative startups and investors from over 40 countries. This year’s theme, “Innovation Beyond Borders,” highlights startups’ roles in driving global innovation across boundaries of nations and technology. The event will feature conferences, pitching sessions, and exhibitions focusing on deep tech, inbound innovation, and SIS (Sustainable Innovation by Startup).
