PxP Interactive Inc. (CEO Katherine Wang) announced its participation in “COMEUP Stars 2024.”

COMEUP Stars 2024, the centerpiece of the global startup festival COMEUP 2024, will feature competitive IR pitching sessions in “Startup Valley.” A total of 50 teams, including 30 Rookie League companies, 10 Runners League companies, and 10 selected from the Rocket League through recommendations by the advisory committee, will compete. Finalists from 13 countries, including South Korea, the U.S., the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, India, and Türkiye, highlight the event’s global scope.

Founded by two Asian media fan developers from the University of Toronto, PxP Interactive leverages deep learning and natural language processing expertise to offer writers snackable multimedia adaptations of their works.

PxP has built a multimedia solution that includes several key components:

  • Creator Storefront: This feature allows creators to publish and monetize their works independently, providing full control over content distribution and revenue.
  • AI Translation Engine: This tool offers high-quality translations at a fraction of the cost and time required by traditional methods, enabling faster and more affordable global distribution.
  • Expanded Audiobook Collection: Creators and readers can enjoy more formats for consuming content, broadening storytelling possibilities.
  • Light Novel-to-Audio Drama Service: This beta service converts light novels into immersive audio dramas, enhancing storytelling and deepening audience engagement.

PxP noted that Asian media companies have built billion-dollar pipelines by adapting web novels into translations, audiobooks, comics, and TV series. However, the process requires large teams, takes months or even years, and incurs significant costs—barriers that independent creators often cannot overcome.

To address this, PxP has developed an AI-powered platform enabling creators to transform their original stories into multimedia franchises and sell them directly to fans. Starting with translations, the platform supports expansion into audio dramas, visual novels, and more through an agentic workflow that simplifies adaptation processes.

Since it was founded this year, PxP has built its AI-powered translation platform and creator storefront while onboarding writers and publishers from the U.S., Canada, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Europe.

Focusing on enabling tomorrow’s storytellers, PxP empowers creators with essential tools to operate their personal story studios and turn their creative dreams into reality.

At COMEUP 2024, PxP plans to introduce Korean works globally while collaborating with writers and the broader Asian media industry. The company aims to connect with publishers and authors interested in adapting their stories into various media formats and sharing them with a wider market.

COMEUP 2024 will occur on December 11–12 at Coex in Seoul, featuring innovative startups and investors from over 40 countries. This year’s theme, “Innovation Beyond Borders,” highlights startups’ roles in driving global innovation across boundaries of nations and technology. The event will feature conferences, pitching sessions, and exhibitions focusing on deep tech, inbound innovation, and SIS (Sustainable Innovation by Startup).
