3. You will find a lot of applications listed. Among the list, tap on any of the apps you would like to turn off notifications completely. For instance, we need to disable all the notifications that pop up from Cymera app (as shown in the image above). We need to select it. And, then from the options available, tap on “Allow Notifications” (which should be enabled by default) to turn off all notifications from that specific app.

How to prevent notifications from showing up in the Notification Center

Suppose you want the notifications to pop up, but you do not want that to clog up in your notification center, then the steps mentioned below will help.

1. Launch the Settings app.
2. Scroll down to encounter “Notifications” option. Tap on it to move forward.
3. Now, select an app from the list of which you do not want the notifications to stay in the notification center. For instance, we chose twitter in the image above.
4. You just have to tap on the option which says – “Show in Notification Centre” to disable it.

How to turn off notifications on the Lock Screen

Similar to the above methods, you cannot really turn off the notifications on the lock screen for all the apps in an instant. You will have to choose a preferred app (or multiple apps) to turn off the notifications to show up on the lock screen.

The counter (indicating numbers) you see on the app icons if there are messages to be read or calls that you missed. It is exactly called as the badge app icons. If you disable it, you will not observe any kind of counter for that specified app.

To disable it, follow the steps mentioned below.

2. Scroll down to encounter “Notifications” option. Tap on it to proceed.
3. Now, select an app for which you want to disable the badge app icons.
