Or maybe you’re out camping and you don’t have the best signal and you want to put your phone into airplane mode to conserve battery. Whatever your reason is, being able to save websites as a PDF means that you get to read it later whenever you want, regardless of internet connection.
So, the question is how do you save a website as a PDF on the iPhone? There are a few different ways so pick the one that you think works the best.
Using Full-Page Screenshots
- Launch Safari on your iPhone
- Go to the website you want to save as a PDF
- Take a screenshot of the page
- At the screenshot editing page, tap on Full Page
- Tap Done and select Save PDF to Files
- Choose the destination folder and tap Save and you’re done
Using The Share Sheet
- Launch Safari on your iPhone
- Go to the website you want to save as a PDF
- Tap on the Share button at the bottom
- Select Options
- Under Send As, choose PDF and tap Done
- Tap on Save to Files
- Choose the destination and tap Save
Using Siri Shortcuts
The methods above only work if you’re using Safari as your browser, but what if you use a different browser as your default? Maybe you’re using Chrome or Firefox, which means the methods above won’t work. In that case, you will have to create a Siri Shortcut.
Creating the shortcut
- Launch Siri Shortcuts
- Tap Gallery
- In the search bar, type “Make PDF”
- Tap on the + button next to Make PDF in the search results
- Tap Add Shortcut
Saving websites as PDF
- Launch your browser of choice
- Go to the website you want to save as a PDF
- Tap the Share button at the bottom
- Scroll down and look for “Make PDF” and tap on it
- Wait for the Shortcut to run
- Tap the Share button once the PDF is generated
- Choose Save to Files and select your destination folder
- Tap Save and you’re done
