Accidents happen sometimes and you end up closing one or more important tabs in your browser unintentionally. However, there is nothing to fret about because there is a simple way to restore your recently closed tabs in most browsers. If you are using one of the popular browsers which include but not limited to Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and more then you can easily restore your recently closed tabs by using the methods mentioned below.
1/ Google Chrome
If you have accidentally closed a tab or multiple tabs on Google Chrome then there is nothing to worry about. Re-opening closed tabs on Google Chrome is fairly simple. Just right-click on the tab area and select “Reopen closed tab” or use “Ctrl + Shift + T” keyboard shortcut to do the same. Reopening tabs will bring back your closed tabs in the order they were closed.
2/ Internet Explorer
The process of reopening closed tabs in Internet Explorer is completely similar to Google Chrome. Just right-click in the tab area and select “Reopen Closed tab” or use the same keyboard shortcut as Google Chrome which is “Ctrl + Shift + T”.
3/ Firefox
Firefox also shares the same keyboard shortcut as Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9. Just press “Ctrl + Shift + T” to open the recently closed tab(s). You can also see all your recently closed tab and open any one of them by clicking the menu button > History > Restore Closed Tabs. Under this option, you can restore individual tabs in any order you want.
4/ Edge
Edge is Microsoft’s latest offering in the browser industry. It replaces Internet Explorer as the default browser on Windows 10. No wonder both these browsers share exactly the same way of reopening closed tabs. In Edge, just right-click on the tab area and select “Reopen closed tab” or use the same “Ctrl + Shift + T” keyboard shortcut to reopen your closed tabs.
5/ Safari
If you are using Safari browser on a Mac then you can restore your recently closed tabs by going to the Edit menu > Undo Closed Tab or using the keyboard shortcut “Command Z”. This will restore your most recently closed tab or tabs in order.
