One of the Google Map’s features that is handy from time to time is ‘Traffic Notifications’, which keeps you posted about traffic conditions. How to disable Traffic Notifications on Google Maps: Step by step

1. Open the Maps app
2. Hit the menu icon located in the top left-hand corner
3. Swipe down until you find the Settings option
4. Tap on the ‘Notifications’ option
5. Select ‘Traffic’
6. Toggle off both ‘Traffic from nearby events’ and ‘Traffic nearby’
