You can get amazing apps for your Android phone from Google Play store, there is no limit on how many apps you can get. As long as your phone space allows, you can get tons of fantastic apps but this also means you will easily get carried away and install apps that you might never even use it. They will just take space and feed on your phone’s resources while being completely useless.
It is time to get rid of them and give your phone some space to breathe. You need to delete all apps that you are not going to need or an app that you don’t use much but is taking too much space and resources.
The process for deleting apps on android is quite simple actually but it can still be confusing for Android beginners. This is why we are here to help you delete apps using multiple apps, so you will be able to delete apps with a method you are most comfortable with.
There are 4 different ways to delete apps from your android phone, just pick the one which suits you best.
This is the easiest method for uninstalling apps but not all Android devices come with this feature. So you need to perform the action to see if it works on your phone or not, as far as we know Samsung Galaxy range, HTC M8 and M7 and Nexus range support this feature.
Just go to app drawer where all your apps are located. There just tap and hold the app which you would like to delete until you manage to grab it and freely move it around.
Once you are able to grab the app you will see new option on the top of the screen. There you will also see the option of “Uninstall”.
Just drag and drop the app on where it is written “Uninstall” and you will be prompt to delete the app. Tap on “OK” and it will be deleted.
If the above method is not supported by your phone or you want more details regarding the app before deleting then delete the app from Application manager.
Note: In some devices it is called Application manager and in some it says Apps.
Tap on Settings and there tap on Application Manager /Apps.
You will be able to see all the apps which you have installed on your android phone. Just tap on the App which you would like to delete and open its details.
In app details you will see the option of Uninstall, just tap it and from the prompt tap on “OK” to delete the app.
If you don’t want to delete apps using your phone’s built-in options then you can also delete from Google Play Store. It keeps record of all apps you install on your phone and let to update to uninstall it anytime you like.
Open Google Play Store (it’s the one with a Shopping bag on it) and swipe from Left to right to bring out the menu from side. Make sure you swipe from the far end of the screen to bring out the menu, otherwise you will just end up swiping between Apps tabs.
From the side menu tap on “My apps” and you will be able to see all your installed apps.
Tap on the app which you would like to uninstall and you will be directed to the main page of that app.
There you can tap on “Uninstall” and from the prompt just tap on “OK” and the app will be deleted.
You can also use an uninstaller app to delete app easily. The main reason to get a separate app for this purpose would be the ability to delete apps in bulk and easier access to all app with just one button.
In this tutorial we are going to use Easy Uninstaller which is a very simple to use uninstaller app and is also quite small in size. On Google Play Store, it also has quite good rating with positive reviews. You can also find other such apps on Google Play Store if you are not satisfied with this one.
Download the Easy Uninstaller app and launch it. In the interface you will see all the apps which are installed on your device.
There will be checkbox next to each app. To uninstall app, you can just tap on checkbox to mark the app and mark all the apps which you would like to delete.
When you are done marking, just tap on big green “Uninstall” button at the bottom of the screen and from the prompt tap on “Uninstall” again and the app will be uninstalled. Although for multiple apps the prompt will come up individually, tap on “uninstall” on each of them to delete.
Note that in many phones, the preloaded apps cannot be “deleted”. However, it is possible to “disable” them, which means that all updates are rolled back, and that they won’t be loaded and active at the next boot. In practical terms, it has the same effect, except that apps still occupy some storage on your phone.
