The process is quite simple, although you might want to use a method that works best for you. This is why we are here to help you find the right method that fulfills your need perfectly.
In this tutorial, we are going to use three different methods suitable for different situations and needs.
Method #1: Use Adobe Acrobat
You can use Adobe Acrobat to convert PDF files into Word document files, however, you will need to the paid version to convert files. The paid version also comes with a 30-day free trial, a good way to try it out and see if it is worth paying.
This option will work best for business or people who need to convert files on daily basis and have other PDF related tasks too. Just go to the Adobe Acrobat Website and click on 30-day trial to download the file and get started (It should be noted that it’s a 696MB file, might not be a good idea for converting just one file).
Once downloaded open Adobe Acrobat. In the interface, click on “File” at the top left corner and from the drop down menu click on “Open”.
Choose your file which you would like to convert and click on “Open”.
Now, click on “File” again and hover you mouse cursor over “Save as other…”. You will see another side menu, from the menu hover your mouse cursor over “Microsoft Word”. Another side menu will open, click on “Word Document” from this menu.
Choose the location where you would like to save the file and click on “Save”. The file will be converted into Word Document (the conversion time depends on the file) and saved in the selected folder.
Method #2: Use a dedicated Third-Party Software
There are many types of software that are solely made for converting PDF files into Word document or even other formats. In this tutorial, we are going to use UniPDF software that is perfect for beginners. It’s just a 5Mb file and extremely simple to use while being completely free. You can learn more about it from here.
Download and open the program. To start converting, just click on “Add” or drag and drop the files in the middle.

By default the file extension is set to “.rtf” if you require “.doc” then you will have to change it from the Settings. Just click on “Settings” and select “.doc” under the heading “Word format” and hit “Save” to save all changes.
Method #3: Use a Dedicated Website
If you are not comfortable with downloading third-party software in your precious PC then you can also use a Website that will convert the file for you. This is quite convenient option but might not be suitable if you have slow connection as you will have to upload and download the files again and again. If you have extremely sensitive data then it is not recommended that you use these services, even though all websites’ privacy policies state they never access the data inside the file.
In this tutorial, we are going to use PDF Online, the website will let you convert PDF files into Word document files and vice versa. The service is provided by BCL Technologies and is one of the most used tools for converting PDF to word document files.
Just visit the website and click on “Upload a File to Convert…”.
Choose the file which you would like to convert and hit “Open”.
You document will be uploaded and converted. Once converted, the file will be showed with a download link above. Just click on it to download your Word document file.
The process will be quite slow as compared to other methods as you first need to upload, however, you will not have to get into the hassle of downloading dedicated software.
