Windows is the most used desktop operating system in the world. As every region has its own language, Windows also comes with different language packs so you could easily use your favorite OS in your own language, or in multiple languages.
Windows offers more than 90 language packs, so finding the language of your choice shouldn’t be too hard. All you need to do is download the language pack and install it in Windows. Today, we are going to show you how you can download and install Windows language packs to change Windows Language.
Microsoft offers 90+ Language packs to download for free from their official website. Navigate to the Language Packs download page and you will see all available language packs below. Scroll through them and click on the “Get now” button next to the Language pack you want to download.
A new tab will open up with the instructions to download the file in the selected language. Now, click on the “Red” download button and on the next page, select the Windows type (32-bit or 64-bit) and download.
Now that you have the Language, it is time to install and apply it. Click on the start menu, and then click on Control Panel.
In the Control Panel, click on Clock, Language, and Region, and then click on “Install or uninstall display languages”.
A new Window will open up, here click on “Install Display Language”. There will be two options on the next page, “Launch Windows Update” and “Browse computer or network”. As we are manually installing Language pack, we need to click on the “Browse computer or network” option. You should know that you can also directly download and install Language packs using the “Launch Windows Update”, the pack will be downloaded as an optional update.
After clicking on “Browse computer or network”, click on “Browse” on the next page and select the language pack you just downloaded. You can also select more than one language packs if you like. When you will select the language pack, it will be added and selected in the main interface.
Now click on “Next” and read the “license terms”, and then again click on “Next”.
The installation process will start and the language can be installed afterwards from the “Change Display Language” button in the “Clock, Language, and Region” option.
If you are using Windows 8 or 10, then it is extremely easy to add and change languages. Just type “Add a Language” in the start menu search, and click on “Add a Language to this device” option.
Now, click on “Add a Language” again, and choose the language you want to add. The language will be added automatically and you can then set it as default from the same window or from the taskbar.
