There are many Search engines from which you can choose from. However, there is a chance you might have ended up changing your default search engine by mistake. Furthermore, some notorious search engines just don’t want to play straight and try to get in via other means such as installation wizards (we are looking at you Ask Search).
If your beloved search engine also got replaced by any other search engine or Yahoo is now your Search engine after the deal with Mozilla, then you can change back to your favorite search engine easily. The process varies from browser to browser so we are going to list all Major browsers, and you can just checkout instructions for your particular browser.

Change Your Default Search Engine in Chrome
Click on Menu located at the top right corner of the screen (it’s the three horizontal lines). From the menu, click on Settings.
In Settings, you will see a drop down menu under the heading “Search”, click on it.
Now, you will see a whole list of search engines and hopefully your required search engine will be in it too. Click on the search engine to set it as the Default Search engine and all your searches will now be processed through that search engine.
Note: Some extensions may not let you change the default search engine (Ask Search extension, really?). In such situation, you must disable or delete the extension from the “Extension” page before trying to change Default search engine..
Change Your Default Search Engine in Firefox
Click on Menu located at the top right corner of the screen (it’s the three horizontal lines, just like in Chrome). In there, click on “Options”.
A new window will pop up, click on “Search” panel in there and you will all the search engines enabled in your browser.
Click on the drop down menu and choose your search engine from the list. Your search engine will be replaced with the selected search engine.
Change Your Default Search Engine in Internet explorer
Click on “Tools” located at the top right corner of the screen and from the drop down menu click on “Manage Add-ons”.
A new Window will open, Click on “Search Providers” there. You will see all the search engines on the right panel.
Click on the search engine you want to use and then click on “Set as default” located at the bottom right corner of the window to set it as Default search engine.
Change Your Default Search Engine in Safari
It is quite easy to change the default Search Engine in Safari, just click on the Magnifying glass icon next to the search field.
A menu will open up where you will see all the search engines available. Just click on the search engine you wish to use and your Default Search Engine will be automatically changed.
Change Your Default Search Engine in Opera
Click on the Opera menu at the top left corner of the screen. From the menu, click on Settings.
In there, you will see a drop down menu under the heading “Search”, you can click on it to see all search engines you have. Just click on the search engine you want to use, and your default search engine will be set as specified search engine.
