No matter for what you use Yahoo Mail for, be it for work or family communication purposes, you will definitely encounter annoying emails like referral spam, fake advertisement offers, etc… that you may want to block. We will show you how to block someone in yahoo mail permanently. If you want, you can unblock that address/person later as well.
Steps to block someone in Yahoo Mail
Log into your Yahoo Mail account.
Search for the email whose sender needs to be blocked. If you already know the address, you can skip directly to step 4.
After opening the desired email, copy the sender’s address by selecting it and copying it using keyboard shortcut (CTRL + C)
Navigate your way to the Gear icon and head on to the Settings.
Finally, you will encounter a window where you can find “Block Addresses” option.
Click on it, and you will find the required fields to paste the email addresses you just copied, or if you already knew the addresses, simply enter them one by one and click on Block.
That’s it! You have successfully blocked the email address. The addresses you typed in will not disturb anymore, nor you would get any emails from them further. In order to remove it, you simply need to highlight it from the blocked list and remove it.
