Samsung Galaxy S20 is almost around the corner. The official launch of the device is going to be on February 13th, 2020.
However, a lot of information has already surfaced online for us to get a good idea of what to expect on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11, also known as Galaxy S20 now.
In this article, we shall include every rumored/leaked info available out there until the official launch.
Note: This post will be updated regularly to reflect the latest information available on the Galaxy S20 series. Also, it is worth noting that some of the leaks mentions “Galaxy S11” – which is essentially “Galaxy S20” now.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Leaked Specifications Overview
MySmartPrice has published a leaked spec sheet for the Samsung S20 5G series – it should be the same for 4G LTE variants as well. Here’s what it looks like:
Samsung Galaxy S20 Design
All thanks to @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles, we do have some amazing renders of how the smartphone might end up looking.
If the trusted leaksters are to be believed, the new Samsung Galaxy S20 will have a punch-hole display with a front-camera placed at the center of the screen instead of the top-right corner (as seen in the Galaxy S10).
All of the variants will feature curved-edge displays in comparison to the flat approach on the Galaxy S10e.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Camera
As per the images available, the Galaxy S20 should sport a five-camera setup on the rear side, if the render is to be believed.
While it is being rumored that the new Galaxy S20 might feature a 108 MP rear camera, an official YouTube video for Samsung’s new 108 MP sensor was spotted:
Also, with a recent leak, these could be the potential camera specifications for the S20 series:
- Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G: 108MP main, 48MP Telephoto (10x optical zoom & up to 100x digital zoom), 12MP ultra wide
- Galaxy S20+ 5G: 12 MP main, 64 MP Telephoto (3x optical zoom & up to 30x digital zoom), 12 MP ultra wide
- Galaxy S20: 12 MP main, 64 MP Telephoto (3x optical zoom & up to 30x digital zoom), 12 MP ultra wide
If the Galaxy S20 is powered by Qualcomm’s high-end chip (highly probable), the eletro-optics performance will be unlocked by the extraordinary camera capabilities of Snapdragon 865.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Variants
As far as we know, there will be three major variants – Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20 Plus, and the S20.
In addition to the variants, you should also get 5G/4G models as per its availability.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Display
In addition to a 120 Hz refresh rate for the screen – the S20 series could sport bigger displays this time.
@Evleaks did mention that you will have three variants with 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch displays respectively for S20, S20+, and the S20 Ultra. In other words, it should be as big as the Note 10.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Battery
As per the recent reports by SamMobile, the regular Galaxy S20 will pack in a 4000 mAh battery while the S20+ will feature a 4500 mAh battery.
And, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will have a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, as per the specifications leaked recently.
The Galaxy S20+/S20 might have the 25W fast charging support, as per the specifications spotted in Geekbench.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Key Specifications
As per the recent Geekbench 5 score leak for the Galaxy S11 5G, it will be powered up by the Exynos 990 SoC (a.k.a Exynos 9830). In addition to the chipset, it will be coupled with 12 Gigs of RAM.
It is not clear whether the LTE variants with Snapdragon 865 will feature 12 Gigs RAM or not but you can expect 128 GB storage options as the minimum. For Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, you will also find a 16 GB RAM option (not sure about the others).
Also, this time, as reported by SamMobile, Samsung may consider selling Snapdragon variants in more markets.
Not much is known about the performance and the capability of the device but it will be safe to assume that the Galaxy S20 could utilize the full potential of Snapdragon 865 (which is reportedly better than Apple’s A13 chip).
Galaxy S20 Pricing
We’ve already covered the rumored pricing for the Galaxy S20 series – just for a reminder, here’s how it looks like:
- S20 5G: $900-1000
- S20+ 5G: $1050-1100
- S20 Ultra 5G: $1300
The 4G LTE variant should be priced lower than the 5G variants – but the difference will be around $100, probably.
Interesting Features That You Can Expect on Galaxy S20
In addition to the specifications of the smartphone, there are some reports that the Samsung Galaxy S20 could feature some interesting tech.
To start with, you could have the ability to scan two fingerprints simultaneously. And, of course, with the new chipset onboard, you should be able to record 8K videos as well.
It is also worth noting that the Galaxy S20 will no longer have a headphone jack – so you might expect some wireless accessories tailored for it as well.
Samsung Might Launch The Next Foldable Phone Along with The S20
You should also know that Samsung is going to launch its next foldable smartphone along with the Galaxy S20.
This may not the Galaxy Fold 2 – but something similar to Motorola RAZR as shown in this tweet:
In Chinese social media, Samsung's next-generation Galaxy Fold phone was leaked.
