At CES 2025, Roborock unveiled its groundbreaking advancements in home robotics with the launch of the Saros flagship series, highlighting the Saros Z70, Saros 10, and Saros 10R. Among these, the Saros 10R stands out as a significant leap in robotic vacuum intelligence, incorporating next-gen technologies that enhance navigation and cleaning efficiency.
The Saros 10R is powered by Roborock’s advanced StarSight Autonomous System 2.0. Unlike traditional robotic vacuums that rely on Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) towers, the 10R uses dual-light 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors combined with an RGB camera. This innovative system allows superior 3D mapping, obstacle detection, and environmental understanding, offering an enhanced, more precise cleaning experience.
The vacuum’s ultra-slim 7.98cm design allows it to easily maneuver under low-clearance furniture, maintaining its high functionality despite its compact form.
Along with improved navigation, the Saros 10R also brings cutting-edge cleaning technologies, so the brand positions it as an intelligent, highly efficient robotic assistant for the modern home. It is part of Roborock’s broader effort to combine artificial intelligence (AI) with robotics to revolutionize home cleaning, alongside other products like the Saros Z70, which introduces the OmniGrip robotic arm, and the Saros 10, featuring the RetractSense Navigation System.
A key innovation in the Saros 10R is the VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance technology. This new feature uses a vertical laser alongside the forward-facing laser to better recognize horizontal and vertical surfaces, helping the vacuum avoid obstacles like unfolded cables and irregular walls.
The vacuum also boasts powerful cleaning features, including 19,000 Pa suction power, a dual anti-tangle system (with a DuoDivide Main Brush and FlexiArm Riser Side Brush), and a 100% hair removal rate. Its AdaptiLift Chassis allows for a 10mm height adjustment, enabling the Saros 10R to clean across different floor types, including mid-to-long-pile carpets, and navigate thresholds up to 4cm. When mopping, the system can lift up to 2.2cm, ensuring optimal airflow and cleanliness.
Additionally, the Saros 10R comes with the Multifunctional Dock 4.0, which includes hot water mop washing, auto mop removal, 2.5-hour fast charging, and energy optimization features. The Roborock app enhances user convenience with AI-driven cleaning plans, voice activation, and cross-platform compatibility, including support for Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and Google Home.
