At CES 2025, Lenovo refreshed its Legion Pro gaming laptop lineup, launching  the 10th generation of the Pro 7i 16”, Pro 5i 16” and the Pro 5 16”.
The Legion Pro 5i (16″) Gen 10 features up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors, while the AMD-based Legion Pro 5 (16″) Gen 10)offers up to AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors, giving gamers two powerful options based on their preferences. Both devices launched alongside the new Legion Pro 7i 16″ Gen 10.

Legion Pro 5i (16″) Gen 10 – Intel version

Both models feature up to 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) OLED displays with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 500 nits of brightness. With 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy and VESA Trueblack 500 certification, the displays deliver vibrant visuals and deep contrast, enhanced further by Dolby Vision and NVIDIA G-SYNC support.

The Legion Pro 5i can be configured with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 (140W), while the AMD variant maxes out at the RTX 5070 with 8GB GDDR6 (115W). Both models support up to 32GB of DDR5 6400MHz memory and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, ensuring fast load times and seamless multitasking.

Thermal management is driven by the Coldfront Hyper system, incorporating turbocharged fans and 3D copper heat pipes to keep components cool and quiet during intense gaming. The Legion Pro 5i 16” Gen 10 and the Legion Pro 5 16”, Gen 10)allow for a blistering 200W TDP, ensuring high performance even under demanding workloads. This system efficiently channels heat away from critical components while minimizing noise.

Battery capacity is 80WHr across both models, with the Pro 5i featuring up to a 300W adapter, while the AMD version uses a 245W adapter.

Additional features include a 5MP webcam with E-shutter, up to 2×2 Intel Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and a suite of ports, including HDMI 2.1, multiple USB-A and USB-C ports, and RJ45. The laptops start at under 5.58 lbs and come in Eclipse Black, offering a sleek yet durable design.
