Nintendo Switch 2 Design Potentially Confirmed By Dbrand

Recent details about the Nintendo Switch 2 have surfaced, potentially shedding light on the long-anticipated design of the console. According to Switch Up, a YouTube channel, and corroborated by the CEO of Dbrand—a company known for tech accessories—a mockup of the new console has been revealed. This design, while modestly updated, suggests a larger form factor compared to its predecessor.

Dbrand had initially shared images of a new protective case designed for the Nintendo Switch 2 on its social media platforms, accompanied by a cryptic message: “We will not answer any questions at this time.” Shortly after, the company went a step further, unveiling a product page titled “Switch 2 Killswitch” for this accessory. Though the console inside the case appears blurred in the images, the overall design can be discerned.

The CEO of Dbrand later confirmed to Insider Gaming that the console shown within the Killswitch case represents the actual Nintendo Switch 2 design. This aligns with Dbrand’s previous approach to producing cases for devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. Despite this revelation, Nintendo has not issued any statements, leaving room for speculation about whether this was an inadvertent leak or an intentional teaser.

Although the console is not expected to be officially announced until March 31, the Dbrand leak is regarded as one of the most reliable sources about the new device. If accurate, it provides an early glimpse into the next iteration of Nintendo’s popular hybrid console, hinting at subtle yet significant design enhancements.
