The vivo X100 series has been officially launched in China, introducing two models: the X100 and the X100 Pro. Notably, these smartphones are the first to feature MediaTek’s recently unveiled Dimensity 9300 chipset. The key highlight of the X100 Pro is its camera setup, featuring a Zeiss APO 100mm equivalent periscope lens.

Display

Both phones sport curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED displays with 1260p resolution, 10-bit colors, and a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate. The displays are capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and utilize 2,160Hz PWM dimming for eye protection. In both models, there are fingerprint readers included.

Cameras

Still talking about the front part, they incorporate 32MP front-facing cameras housed within punch-hole cutouts. But when it comes to the main camera, the X100 Pro boasts a powerful system, featuring three 50MP shooters with a 1-inch type Sony IMX989 main sensor.

The device is equipped with Zeiss APO’s world-first mobile telephoto lens, offering apochromatic correction for improved clarity and reduced fringing at contrast edges. The periscope module has an f/2.57 aperture, 100mm equivalent focal length, and supports 4.3x optical zoom, extending up to 100x digital zoom.

On the other hand, the X100, while equipped with a custom 50MP IMX920 main sensor, offers a formidable camera setup with a 64MP 1/2” sensor telephoto lens with 3x zoom and OIS, along with a 15mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide lens. Both models feature T* lens coating to reduce reflectivity.

Internally, the X100 series can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. They run on the latest OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. The battery capacity differs, with the X100 having a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging, while the X100 Pro has a slightly larger 5,400 mAh cell supporting 100W charging and 50W wireless fast charging. Both phones are IP68 water and dust-resistant, equipped with IR blasters, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
