Cooler Master’s Sneaker X PC: Unique Design At A Premium Price

Cooler Master has introduced a unique PC case that mimics the shape of a giant sneaker, named the “Sneaker X.” Despite its initial high price, it’s now available for purchase starting at $3499.99.

While the price might seem steep, the specifications of the base model are not top-of-the-line by gaming PC standards. The system is designed to deliver “60+ FPS on High+ settings on 1440p.” Internally, it houses a Core i7-13700K processor, RTX 4070 graphics card, 2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, 32GB of DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 360mm AIO cooler. For those seeking a more premium option with an RTX 4070 Ti, the price goes up to $3800.

The case’s unique sneaker design is its main selling point, but it’s worth noting that it’s not particularly compact, measuring over two feet in length. However, Cooler Master has ensured that it’s compatible with most off-the-shelf components, including a Z790 Mini-ITX motherboard and standard parts like the visible exhaust fan.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first iteration of the Sneaker X PC. Cooler Master initially announced a barebones kit for $6000 in May, which apparently didn’t attract many buyers. The current $3500 version is considered a more affordable option in comparison, although it’s still a premium price for a PC case with a shoe-inspired design.

The Cooler Master Sneaker X is a niche product that caters to enthusiasts who are passionate about both PC gaming and sneaker culture, offering a unique blend of style and performance. However, its cost may deter those looking for more cost-effective gaming setups. What’s your opinion about this exquisite PC case?
