Lenovo’s ThinkPhone by Motorola, one of our Best of CES 2023 winners, is a smartphone tailored for business users that made its official debut on the market in April 2023.
Today, the ThinkPhone is receiving productivity upgrades through collaboration between Motorola and Microsoft. This smartphone gains enhanced features catering to remote work scenarios. It integrates seamlessly with Windows 365 cloud capabilities, allowing users to harness the power of Microsoft’s cloud services on the go. Through a USB-C connection and Bluetooth accessories, ThinkPhone users can extend their phone’s functionality to a larger display and peripherals, essentially carrying a portable cloud PC.
Furthermore, the iconic Red Key on the ThinkPhone gains additional utility with Push To Talk (PTT) integration, utilizing Microsoft Teams’ Walkie Talkie app. This empowers efficient communication within teams through instant PTT functionality, expanding ThinkPhone’s convenience and utility for modern work environments.
The Windows 365 support via Moto Connect and the Walkie Talkie feature in Microsoft Teams will be available for the ThinkPhone in the coming weeks. The Walkie Talkie app is already included in the Teams frontline license.’’
On the hardware side, the ThinkPhone boasts the Snapdragon 8+Gen 1, last year Qualcomm’s flagship SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The device’s 6.55-inch display utilizes a pOLED panel, delivering vibrant visuals at FHD+ resolution. The main camera module features a 50P primary camera with PDAF and OIS for sharp and stable shots combined with a 13MP ultrawide secondary shooter. The 32MP front-facing camera, equipped with autofocus, ensures high-quality selfies and video calls. Additionally, the ThinkPhone is future-ready with support for 5G, LTE, 3G, and 2G networks, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6E), Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS connectivity. Its dual SIM slot accommodates versatile network usage. IP68 certification and MIL-STD-810H compliance ensure its durability.
