DJI Mavic 3 Pro Drone Launches With Triple-Camera Setup

DJI‘s latest consumer drone, the Mavic 3 Pro, has been launched, boasting a triple-camera setup, including a new 70mm lens and a 10-bit D-Log M color mode. This drone is the fourth in the Mavic 3 range and is available in regular and Cine models (the Cine option offers advanced features for filmmakers, such as Apple ProRes capture, a 1TB SSD drive, and a 10Gbps data cable, but it comes at a premium of almost $1,000).

The Mavic 3 Pro’s new 70mm camera has a 1/1.3-inch sensor, the same size as on the Mini 3 Pro, and can capture 48-megapixel high-resolution or 12-megapixel low-light photos, along with 4K/60fps video. The camera supports a new log format called D-log M, which is designed to deliver natural color gradations with delicate details in high-contrast situations. Additionally, DJI has improved the 7x tele camera, boosting the aperture from f4.4 to f3.4, making it better in low light, and offering boosted video specs up to 4K/60fps.

Introducing DJI Mavic 3 Pro

Aside from the new camera features, the Mavic 3 Pro is similar to the Mavic 3, with the main 4/3 Hasselblad camera capturing video up to 5.1K at 50fps, with D-Log M, D-Log, and HLG options. The drone can capture 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes video on the Mavic 3 Pro Cine model and 10-bit 4:2:0 (H.264/H.265) on the regular model. It has a flight time of up to 43 minutes, with DJI’s omnidirectional sensing and APAS 5.0 obstacle protection. The drone also includes several AI features, such as ActiveTrack 5.0, Spotlight, and Point of Interest.

The Mavic 3 Pro is priced at $2,199 for the basic model with the DJI RC, while the Fly More Combo (which includes the DJI RC, three intelligent flight batteries, a charging hub, a carrying bag, and one ND filter set) is priced at $2,999. The Mavic 3 Pro Cine Premium Combo (includes the DJI RC Pro remote) is priced at $4,799. It comes with features designed for creators, such as MasterShots 4, QuickShots 5, and Panorama 6, and is available to order now, with shipping starting in May.

With its advanced camera capabilities, filmmakers and creators will be excited to see what they can capture with this new drone! For more specs, check out the official website.
