The popular leaker @UniverseIce just released interesting information about the next generation of the iPhone 15 Pro Max — and if what he said is to be believed, the successor of the iPhone 14 Pro Max may hit the stores with noticeable improvements on the display.
A few weeks ago, a short video of alleged glass panels for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max leaked in China, showing some changes in the bezel dimensions, and now, with UniverseIce’s post, these changes were mentioned again, with the leaker adding that the side bezels for the 15 Pro Max will be 28,6% narrower than last year’s iPhone, measuring only 1.55 mm.
iPhone 15 Pro Max will break the record of 1.81mm bezel black edge held by Xiaomi 13, and we measure that its cover plate black bezel width is only 1.55 mm.(S22 and S23 ≈1.95mm,iPhone 14 Pro 2.17mm) pic.twitter.com/9TBrVCGSCo

In terms com comparison, Xiaomi’s latest flagship, the Xiaomi 13, has bezels of 1.61 mm and Samsung’s Galaxy S23 brings 1.95 mm – in other words, Apple’s new flagship may be the one with the thinnest bezels among the three, and this is reiterated also on recently leaked CAD renders.
For the next Pro models Apple might adopt even more curved edges, which could give the impression of even thinner bezels and, unlike the Xiaomi 13, the side bezels on the next Cupertino device may be uniform.
The iPhone 15 series will probably be announced in September bringing, aside from improvements on the display, a new Apple A17 Bionic SoC. Rumors also talk about the presence of a USB-C instead of Lightning and in some of the models we may even see solid-state buttons. Sounds exciting!
