Sustainability is one of the top trends at CES 2023 and Baracoda is coming to the show in Vegas with Bheart, a unique smart band that powers itself using environmental light, and the user’s motion and body heat. Baracoda claims it is the world’s first health tracker with an “endless” battery, enabled by BMotion, Baracoda’s patent-pending energy harvesting technology.
This eco-friendly screenless smart band captures enough energy to power several sensors that collect and transfer health data to a mobile application where users monitor their health status, body energy, mental resilience, activity level, and sleep quality.
A CES Innovation Award Honoree, Bheart encourages users to sustain a more active lifestyle since it requires motion to recharge. The eco health tracker is designed to be worn as a band for an existing watch or as a bracelet.
Despite its minimalist form factor, the device’s sensors combined with Baracoda’s AIoT platform deliver personalized advice, if needed, on the state of the user’s health in order to improve it daily. On the smartphone app (iOS or Android) users can see the energy they produce daily, and how behavior influences health over time. Baracoda aims at encouraging Bheart users to sustain daily improvements.
When it comes to sustainability, the design team pushed the envelope further by selecting plastic-free materials to manufacture BHeart.
The base model of the watch band, the material is lightweight metal, in silver, dark silver, or gold tones to match most classic watches. The extended product line will include a watch band or standalone bracelet made of sustainable leather
BHeart is compatible with standard watches with a width of 18-22mm. BHeart will be available for a starting price of $100 at bheart.io from April 2023. The companion app is free and available for iOS and Android.
