The company has announced a new bill splitting feature, which they claim is a first in a delivery app in the US.
Basically, the main user will organize a group order and everyone submits their orders through the app and the bill will be split accordingly. Users can even set a deadline where once the deadline hits, the order will go through regardless if everyone’s placed their order, so if you snooze, you lose!
Users can also nudge other users to prompt them to make their order before the deadline, or remove the deadline entirely if they don’t mind waiting on others. Since Uber already has a way for users to split a fare together, we’re surprised it actually took this long for them to implement a bill splitting feature in Uber Eats, but better late than never.
