However, for those who are fans of Chrome OS and would love to see more functionality, there is some good news because Google has announced that the alpha build of Steam will be coming to Chrome OS.
In a post on the Chromebook Community page, a community manager wrote, “As you may have already heard, our team is working with Valve to bring Steam to Chrome OS. We are very excited to share that we’ll be landing an early, alpha-quality version of Steam on Chrome OS in the Dev channel for a small set of Chromebooks coming soon.”
It was reported earlier this year that a select few brands/models of Chromebook devices would support Steam, but the question back then was when would Steam actually launch. While this is the alpha which means there is still some ways to go before the full version is launched, it is still good news and a great start.
