Now, some of you might have heard that NVIDIA recently fell victim to a cyberattack, and as such, several alleged leaked files were posted online. According to a report from TechPowerUp, they have published a list of the leaked files, one of which contains a folder called NVN2 and a driver called NVNDLSS.
For those wondering about the significance, NVN is the API that Switch programs are written against, while DLSS is an NVIDIA tech that involves high resolution and AI upscaling. What’s interesting is that this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a future Switch model potentially using DLSS tech, thus lending credence to the rumors that a new Switch model could be in development.
It is possible that this model could still be years away from debuting, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo was already exploring the idea. Right now, the OLED Switch model is the latest model to have been released so we doubt that Nintendo will be eager to replace it so soon, so maybe take this with a grain of salt for now.
