The device was listed using its codename “Rohan” where apparently there will be at least three different colors offered – gray, black, and gold. Unfortunately, apart from the listing, not much else is known about Google’s upcoming wearable.
We have seen some alleged renders of the device where Google could be opting to use a clean and minimal design, although the renders do make the watch look a bit “flat” compared to other models out there. We also expect that it will most likely be powered by Google’s new Wear OS platform that they reworked on together with Samsung.
If the previous rumors are to be believed, the device could be announced towards the end of May, which interestingly enough is also roughly around the time Google I/O takes place. Google hasn’t announced when this year’s I/O will take place so take this with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
