WhatsApp has recently pushed out an update that will allow users to continue to listen to voice messages even when they switch to a different chat. This is similar to how users can watch YouTube videos in WhatsApp and the video will keep playing even when they leave the chat and go to a different chat.
This feature was actually spotted in an earlier beta but it looks like it is now rolling out to users. This is part of some changes that WhatsApp is making to its app and voice messages. Some of the other changes include the ability to pause and play voice messages, whereas previously if users stopped the message they’d have to resume from the start.
Other changes also include the ability to review your voice messages before you send, just in case you misspoke or decide that isn’t the message you want to send.
