For those who weren’t a fan of Safari saving passwords without usernames, then you might be happy to learn that in the upcoming iOS 15.4 update, Safari will no longer save passwords unless it has a username attached to it. Now whenever Safari saves a passwords, it will actually prompt users to enter a username as well.
Users who try to save passwords without usernames will see a prompt that says, “To save this password, enter the username for your [website] account”. This will apply to both devices running on iOS 15.4 and macOS 12.3. Keep in mind that neither of these updates are live yet and are currently in beta.
There is no word on when these updates will be released, but this change to password saving will be one of the new features that users can expect in the upcoming updates.
