It’s now 2022 which means that later on in the year, Google will be releasing its next major Android update in the form of Android 13. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long to find out the changes that Google has made because the company has since released the first developer preview.
Keep in mind that this is just the first of several developer previews that Google will probably release over the coming months. This isn’t a public beta for Android users yet and is aimed more towards developers who need to make sure their apps are compatible and for them to check out what’s new and what kind of features they can take advantage of.
However, like we said, it should give us a better look at Android 13 ahead of the official announcement which should take place at Google I/O in the coming months. According to Google’s Android 13 release schedule, the developer previews are expected to take place through March and it will be followed by a beta released from around mid-March until around June.
The company then expects a stable version to be available then followed by the final release, which they haven’t mentioned when yet, but we expect it should be around August or September which is par for the course.
