At CES 2022, Samsung has unveiled several new monitors, but the company’s 32-inch Smart Monitor M8 seems to have been made with Mac users in mind. It features USB-C connectivity, perhaps for Mac users who might own a computer that does not have a HDMI port or who prefer to deal with less cables.
The USB-C port supports up to 65W of charging, so it should be capable of juicing up laptops like the MacBook Air. There is even support for wireless features like AirPlay, which means that users can easily toss video or audio from an iPad or iPhone onto the monitor if they want and allow it to double up as a smart TV.
Other features of the Smart Monitor M8 include 400 nits brightness, 99% sRGB, slim bezels, and a moveable magnetic SlimFit webcam. There is no pricing on the Smart Monitor M8 just yet, but assuming it will be similar to the M7 launched last year, we expect it could be priced around the $400-$500 range.
