The Philips Hue series of smart lighting is usually known more for its indoor lights, like smart indoor light bulbs, smart LED strips, and so on. However, if you’re looking for smart lighting outdoors and you love using the Hue ecosystem, you’re in luck because it looks like the company has since announced a bunch of new outdoor Hue smart lighting.
One of the new products announced is the Philips Hue Inara. This is a wall light that’s designed to look like regular outdoor lights with a vintage-style lantern design coupled with a filament-style bulb. Then there is also the Lucca which offers up a slightly more contemporary design and offers support for both white and colored lights.
Then there is also the Resonate which can create both upwards and downwards spotlight effects which is great for doorways, pathways, or to highlight certain outdoor furniture or plants. The light effect it gives off creates a more sharper and more defined looking triangle.
Last but not least is the Calla. These are smart lights designed to be placed along pathways and thanks to its 25cm height, it is small enough where you can hide it behind or in between plants or bushes to help create a nice glow without being too obvious. As these are Hue lights, they can all be controlled using the Hue app and will also work with motion sensors.
