Over the years, what we’ve noticed Apple has done is introduce new features that are typically exclusive to its higher-end models, but subsequently in future models, Apple will introduce it to the entire lineup.

This is why we can’t say we’re too surprised to learn that according to analyst Jeff Pu, Apple could bring the ProMotion display to the entire iPhone 14 lineup. For those unfamiliar, ProMotion is the name that Apple has given to its 120Hz display. It initially made its debut in the iPad Pro several years ago, but was officially introduced to the iPhone 13 last year.

However, the feature was exclusive to Apple’s higher-end iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models, but according to Pu, the entire iPhone 14 lineup could come with the feature. Pu also suggests that the entire iPhone 14 model lineup could get an upgrade in the RAM department to 6GB, which once again was exclusive to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models last year.

If this is true, then we can’t say that the recent rumors of a potential price hike come as a surprise. It was recently suggested that Apple could be looking to increase the price of some of the iPhone 14 models from the price of the iPhone 13, so perhaps the increase in price could be due to the cost of bumping up the RAM and display refresh rate across the models.
