Video doorbells are very useful if you want to know who’s at your door, even if you’re not home. However, they don’t always do a good job at keeping an eye on your packages where if they’re left on the porch, it could result in it being stolen by porch pirates.
However, Eufy is hoping to solve that problem because at CES 2022, the company has unveiled the Eufy Security Video Doorbell Dual. As you can see from the photo above and judging by its name, this is a video doorbell that actually comes with dual cameras.
One of the cameras will be pointed towards the body of the person at the door, giving users the ability to see who’s walking up to their door, while the second camera is angled downwards so that it can be used to keep an eye on your packages when they are delivered to your doorstep. However, one potential pitfall is that if the delivery person places it somewhere else, like to the side, then you won’t be able to see itt.
According to Eufy, both cameras will offer 2K resolution and with the downward facing camera, it offers up a 120-degree field of view which should hopefully be enough for you to watch over your parcels. It also uses AI to detect packages and also family members and friends. The camera is powered by batteries which makes it easy to install, and Eufy claims it should last up to six months on a single charge.
If you’re keen on Eufy’s new video doorbell, it will be priced at $260 and is expected to be available this February.
