If there is one game that keeps getting tested against new CPUs and GPUs, it would be Crytek’s Crysis series. This is because the game has been known to be a very demanding game in terms of hardware. However, the last major release we saw was Crysis 3 which was back in 2013, and if you were hoping for a new major installment, you’re in luck.
This is because the franchise’s developer Crytek has announced that they are working on a new Crysis game, which according to a teaser trailer posted on YouTube it will be known as Crysis 4, although that seems to be a working title for now. However, regardless of the name, it seems that we might have a bit of waiting to do before it is available to play.
According to Crytek’s announcement, “It’s something you have been asking us for a long time, so it’s now finally time to confirm – yes, a new Crysis game is happening! We are so pleased and excited to bring this news to you, and we really can’t wait to reveal more details about what lies ahead. Right now the game is in the early stages of development so it will be a while yet, but we wanted to bring you the news at this time as we are so hyped for the future, and to let you know that we will be listening to our community.”
We have no idea when the game will be launched but for gamers who grew up on the Crysis franchise, this is definitely something to look forward to in the future.
