Now according to a report from 9to5Mac, additional details of the rumored iPad Pro with wireless charging have been revealed. According to the report, it suggests that Apple could use a glass Apple logo for the next-gen iPad Pro that would allow for support for wireless charging through MagSafe.
It was previously suggested that Apple could adopt a glass back design similar to the iPhone to facilitate wireless charging, but there were concerns about the durability of the tablet if such a large piece of glass were to be used. Instead, 9to5Mac’s sources now tell them that Apple could now be considering the use of a glass logo instead as a compromise.
The report goes on to state that Apple is also expected to use stronger magnets to prevent accidents, and that it could support faster charging speeds, more so than what the iPhone’s MagSafe offers. There is currently no word on when this tablet will debut, but seeing as the M1 iPad Pro launched early in 2021, we might only need to wait a few more months to find out the official details on the 2022 model.
