Google Stadia is Google’s game streaming service, while Microsoft has xCloud. However, in what appears to be an interesting partnership, it appears that users who are subscribed to YouTube Premium will be giving a free three month subscription to PC Game Pass, which is basically Xbox Game Pass but rebranded for the PC.
For those who are learning about this for the first time, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass was the name Microsoft had previously used for the service that covered both PC and Xbox consoles. However, the rebranding is to simply differentiate between both platforms, but otherwise the features and functionality of the service will remain exactly the same as it was.
YouTube Premium subscribers are being notified through their emails so if you are a subscriber, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the email that will let you claim that offer. There is a bit of a catch and that is you will need to be in the US, so non-US subscribers will have to sit this one out. You will also need a credit card and a Microsoft account.
Assuming you have all those things, you should be able to take Microsoft up on their offer to decide if this could be something you might want to keep subscribing to in the future.
