What are we talking about? For those who are subbed to a paid tier of Google One, you will be able to access some machine learning based features and filters in Google Photos.
We’re talking about features like Portrait Light that help change the position and brightness of lights in photos, background blur that helps create a portrait effect in post-processing, color focus, smart suggestions, HDR, and sky, which uses machine learning to help make changes to the color of the sky in your photos.
These are actually pretty cool filters to have, and if you’re already paying for Google One just for the storage, then this is a nice bonus feature. Keep in mind that users will need to own an iPhone with 3GB of RAM or more and run on iOS 14 or later, which means that older iPhones that have Google One subscriptions will have to sit this one out.
For those unfamiliar, Google One is the paid cloud storage service from Google. It’s an alternative to iCloud and Microsoft’s OneDrive, which might be a good choice for those who are heavily invested in Google’s products and services.
