One of the reasons why the Apple Car is such a badly kept secret is because of the numerous patents Apple has filed over the years. While patents are commonly filed by companies, the number of patents we’ve seen suggests that Apple has more than just a passing interest in automobiles.
It might still be quite a while before we actually see the Apple Car officially launched (if at all), but thanks to the renders by the folks over at Vanarama, they have put together a 360-degree rendering of what the Apple Car could look like (both internally and externally) based on all the patents Apple has filed so far.
The end result is a rather oddly shaped car that seems to look more like an SUV than a sedan that we imagine many had initially imagined. It features very sharp angles and a very futuristic interior that has a dashboard consisting of an entire single display, and a square-ish shaped steering wheel.
Even the car’s tires look very futuristic and unlike what we typically see in cars these days. However, keep in mind that these are based on patents. This means that these are just ideas Apple has explored but it might not necessarily be the actual design, which might explain why the car looks a bit odd, but not necessarily in a bad way, but what do you think? Are you digging this design?
