As part of T-Mobile and Google’s ongoing partnership, the carrier has announced that starting on the 12th of October, T-Mobile customers will be able to sign up for an exclusive tier that offers users 500GB of storage at $5 a month. This puts it in between the 200GB and 2TB options.
However, it doesn’t seem particularly worth it because for double that price, you’ll be getting four times more storage, meaning that it’s not very value for money. That being said, we suppose $5 extra a month amounts to $60 a year, and long-term that could be quite costly, especially for those who don’t really envision themselves using as much as 2TB, at least not in the near future.
This is an exclusive tier to T-Mobile customers who will also be getting 10% cashback from the Google Store, a perk that the lower-end tiers do not have. We’re not sure if Google plans to introduce more in-between tiers in the future, but this might be something that T-Mobile users could look into.
