However, having a controller or keyboard or mouse on your person at all times isn’t necessarily the most convenient, especially if you stream games on your phone. The good news for iOS gamers is that if you’re looking for a new way to play Stadia games on your iPhone, Google is bringing its “Direct Touch” controls to Stadia.
The feature was actually launched on Android a couple of months ago, so it looks like it has finally made its way onto iOS as well. For those unfamiliar, basically direct touch is where you touch your screen and Stadia attempts to figure out where you’re touching and will relay those commands back to its servers.
Basically, it’s like Google is trying to retroactively add touch controls to games that weren’t necessarily designed for mobile or for touch control to begin with. Obviously not all games will support this feature, but the option is there for games that do, which could make game streaming on mobile a more convenient experience.
