Earlier this year, Razer showed off a facemask codenamed Project Hazel, later known as the Zephyr. Given that COVID-19 is expected to be treated as an endemic and something we have to live with for the foreseeable future, wearing a mask might be a good way to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting sick.
The company later launched a beta program for the mask and for those who are keen on getting their hands on it, it looks like you’ll be able to order one for yourself soon. The Zephyr will be priced at $99.99, which is admittedly cheaper than we expected, and will come with three N95 grade filters that are expected to last 9 days.
Alternatively, you can get the bundle with 33 sets of filters for $149.99, and after that if you need new filters, Razer will be selling them in packs of 10 where they’ll sell for $29.99 each.
The Zephyr has been designed to be a reusable mask and features the use of a clear, transparent design so people can see you talking. It also features the use of an adjustable strap placed on the head and neck to ensure it won’t fall or slip off, and there is also built-in Chrome RGB lighting if you’re feeling a little extra.
It has a bit of an outlandish design that will undoubtedly draw attention to yourself, but if you don’t really care about that, then perhaps this could be a mask worth checking out.
