As you can see in the photo above, Lines is definitely a bit of a departure from the company’s previous offerings. Instead of using geometric shapes to piece together a larger shape, users can now opt to use Lines to create their own shapes instead.
According to Nanoleaf, “Nanoleaf Lines now reinvents the idea of modular design, offering ultra lightweight light lines that connect at 60 degree angle increments to create sleek linear layouts, grand geometric shapes, and even ceiling designs with the intuitive mounting plates integrated with every Lines Mounting Connector.”
It’s actually quite interesting and does open the door to more possibilities. Each Lines light will connect to another at 60-degree angle increments. They are also compatible with a variety of smart home platforms which includes Apple’s HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, and IFTTT.
The Nanoleaf Lines are expected to go on sale towards the end of November where the starter kit will be priced at $199.99, while three-line expansion packs will be sold separately at $79.99 each.
