It’s actually a pretty cool feature if you’re heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, but it seems that there is a chance Universal Control could be delayed. According to reports from developers, it seems that Universal Control is missing from the latest beta of macOS Monterey, and trying to find references to it within the OS update is pretty difficult.
This has led to speculation that perhaps the feature isn’t ready yet and might skip the launch of the public release of macOS Monterey, which should take place in the coming week or two alongside Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro announcement.
This isn’t the first time Apple has delayed features they initially announced at WWDC. A more recent example would be SharePlay, which allows users to sync up TV shows, movies, and music on FaceTime, as well as screen share. The company hasn’t said anything about Universal Control yet but if you were looking forward to it, don’t hold your breath.
