Earlier this week, it was reported that Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air could adopt the notched design for its display. This was something that Apple had done with the recently-announced MacBook Pro, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the MacBook Air were to undergo similar treatment in its design as well.
Now according to a tweet by @dylandkt on Twitter, they have revealed some additional changes we might look forward to for the 2022 refresh. According to the tweet, it seems that Apple will be adopting an off-white bezel for the MacBook Air, and they will offer similar color options as the 24-inch iMac.

They also claim that Apple will be bringing MagSafe to the laptop which they did with the new MacBook Pros, and that Apple will also be upgrading the webcam to 1080p, and also feature a 30W power adapter. Also, what’s interesting is that the tweet claims that Apple might not necessarily call this laptop the MacBook Air, and that the company may simply refer to it as the “MacBook”. Also, with it launching in 2022, @dylandkt thinks it will most likely come with the M2 chipset.
The tweet also shares a bit of bad news and that is apparently the starting price will be increased slightly. The current MacBook Airs have an appeal to them because for an Apple product, they aren’t prohibitively expensive, so it remains to be seen how much more this new laptop could cost.
