Instagram Now Lets Users Post From Their Desktop

When Instagram first launched, it was a mobile-only application. However, over the years the company has started to roll out more features to the web where users could browse their feed and send and receive messages through its desktop interface.

The good news is that Instagram has since announced that you can now post photos and videos up to a minute long from your computer. If this sounds familiar, it is because the company had actually started testing out the feature earlier this year, and now it looks like it will be available to all users starting on the 21st of October.

While Instagram is still largely a mobile platform, giving users the option of uploading photos and videos from their computer is very useful. This is because Instagram is used by many creative professionals as a portfolio to showcase their work. Prior to this, users who edit their work on their computers had to use a workaround to upload to Instagram from their desktop, or send the fully edited files from their desktop to their phones which were just unnecessary extra steps.

Now with users being able to upload directly from their computers, users can save themselves a fair bit of time. This feature is expected to be available to all users on the 21st of October, so if this is something you’ve been looking forward to, it should be available in the coming days.
