For those unfamiliar, Honor used to be a sub-brand of Huawei before the company spun them off under its belt to help them skirt around the US ban. Since then, the company has actually put out a couple of phones that come with Google’s services installed on them.
Now according to a post from Weibo, it seems that Honor’s first foldable phone is now expected to be launching by the end of the year where it is rumored to be known as the Honor Magic X. Honor had previously confirmed their plans for a foldable phone but stopped short of saying when it would launch, and the radio silence that followed led some to wonder if maybe their plans might have been scrapped.
However, if the latest reports are to be believed, it looks like things are progressing nicely and that we should be able to expect it by the end of the year. How much it will cost and what it will look like is anyone’s guess, but it will be interesting to see how they might fare against Samsung.
