Apple recently confirmed that they will be hosting an event on the 18th of October where there is a good chance that we’ll be seeing the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. A recent tweet by Ross Young of DCSS suggests that the laptops will feature a mini LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, but that might not be all.

According to a tweet by leakster @dylandkt, it seems that the upcoming MacBook Pros could be a pretty substantial upgrade. The tweet corroborates Young’s claims of a mini LED display, but also suggests that we could be looking at an upgraded webcam with a 1080p resolution, and that all the base models will come with at least 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Also, apparently pricing will be similar between the 14-inch and 16-inch models, which apparently means that the difference in pricing between the 14 and 16-inch models will be more narrow compared between the 13 and 16-inch.

The tweet also claims that Apple will be bringing back the HDMI port, the SD card slot, and we will finally see the return of MagSafe. It all honestly sounds too good to be true and more like a wishlist of sorts, but either way we’ll have to wait until next week for all the official details so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet.
