The company has announced a new browser extension designed for Google Chrome. With this extension, users will be able to make quick and simple edits, including adding signatures to documents, without having to download a separate app or having to pay for it.
According to Adobe, “Opening a new application on your computer or searching for a web app for PDF editing can be a hassle, especially when you’re in a hurry. And the native default PDF viewer in your web browser has limited functionality, allowing you only to view or download PDF files. But the Adobe Acrobat extension for Google Chrome, allows you to effortlessly comment on, mark up, fill in, and sign PDFs, and more — all right from your browser window.”
Some features that users can expect from the extension include the ability to make comments on PDF documents, make small adjustments, mark up menus, fill out forms, and sign documents. Obviously there will be limitations compared to a full-fledged PDF app or using Acrobat for the web, but like we said, this should be good enough for those looking to make simple edits quickly and easily within the browser.
If you’re interested, the extension is available for download via the Chrome Web Store, so head on over if you’d like to check it out.
