Fast forward to today, Microsoft is one of the three major console players in the industry and it has been about 20 years since the first Xbox was launched. To celebrate this milestone, Microsoft has unveiled a couple of 20th Anniversary Special Edition hardware in the form of gaming controllers and gaming headsets.
The controller is basically the same as the latest Xbox Wireless Controllers except that it has a new look. According to Microsoft, “The 20th Anniversary Special Edition controller is a fresh spin on the translucent green of the original Xbox Debug kit. The body of the controller features a translucent black finish with silver internals so you can see every detail. The nostalgic, green Xbox button brings us back to the first green Xbox logo. The iconic color can also be found on the back grips and around the hybrid D-pad.”
It will work across Microsoft’s Xbox consoles including the Series X|S, Xbox One, along with Windows PCs and Android and iOS devices.
In terms of pricing and availability, the 20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Stereo Headset will both be launching on the 15th of November where they are priced at $69.99 each and are actually available for pre-order today for select markets.
