So one of the main things we have been looking forward to in Apple’s rumored MacBook Pro refresh is the new 14-inch form factor that will be announced alongside the 16-inch model. There is also the redesign that we’re anticipating, along with the rumored M1X chipset that should be more powerful.

However, it turns out that there could be one more thing to look forward to and that is new displays. According to a tweet by DCSS CEO Ross Young, he claims that the upcoming MacBook Pro refreshes will see Apple introduce the use of mini LED displays to the laptops as well as a 120Hz refresh rate.

The use of mini LEDs first made their debut with the iPad Pro earlier this year and it is currently the only Apple product to use the display tech. Apple also expanded its ProMotion 120Hz display to the iPhone 13, but now it seems that the MacBook Pros could be getting it as well. This is actually pretty cool if the rumors turn out to be true because there aren’t that many laptops that offer refresh rates above the standard 60Hz.

Of course, none of this can be confirmed yet but what Apple did confirm is that they’ll be hosting an event on the 18th of October where presumably these laptops will be announced, so be sure to check back with us next week for all the official details.
